Allene Chun

While UH Mānoa College of Tropical Agricultrure and Human Resources (CTAHR) alumna Allene Chun retired in 2010 after serving UH for nearly 33 years (28 ½ years were at CTAHR) she has made a plan to ensure that she can continue to support the CTAHR students she cares so much about, in perpetuity.

When Allene retired, friends, family and colleagues made gifts in her honor and created the Allene E. F. Chun Scholarship at CTAHR.  Now, thanks to the gift to CTAHR that Allene has left in her will, the scholarships will be endowed and will continue supporting students in the years to come.

"In her role of student services specialist, Allene touched many lives at UH and CTAHR and built valuable relationships with countless organizations and individuals in the community.

She was always resourceful, reliable, committed and willing to give her time to help others in need. Allene exemplifies and embodies the true meaning of generosity. For all this, and so much more, we decided to create a scholarship in her honor."
