Event Date: February 11, 2011

In February 2011 representatives from The Boeing Company visited classrooms and attended design reviews for three student organizations at the College of Engineering at UH Mānoa, and met with students and faculty at the Aeronautic Maintenance facility at Honolulu Community College. These visits gave students an opportunity to listen to experts in the field, share their work and learn from their feedback.

Over the years, The Boeing Company has supported a range of UH programs through the College of Engineering, the Shidler College of Business, and the Aeronautic Maintenance Technology Program at Honolulu CC. In addition to their past funding for scholarships, student clubs and project support, they actively engage students and faculty through their volunteering and mentoring.

For many students, this visit marks the beginning of a long relationship with The Boeing Company. Today the company employs many graduates from these specialized UH programs. Together, the University of Hawaiʻi and The Boeing Company are building a steady pipeline of skilled, well-qualified engineering and aeronautical leaders for tomorrow.
