The UH Hilo Campus Center Dining Room came alive as student scholarship recipients, donors and members of the UH Hilo ‘ohana celebrated the powerful role scholarships play in the lives of students.

Guests heard from Hawai`i CC retired Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs and donor Barbara Arthurs. Arthurs, a lifelong advocate for students,  spoke about how her gifts are a vehicle to affect the change she wants to see in the world, while giving students the critical support they need. Scholarship recipients from a range of programs shared moving stories about their life journeys, and thanked the donors whose generosity has helped them overcome obstacles and fulfill their dreams of attending university.

Mahalo to all who support students and programs at UH Hilo. Your gifts are making a difference!
