Supports Travel Industry Management Scholars

JTB Goodwill Foundation President Tsukasa Harufuku and board member Lena Young presented a ceremonial check to University of Hawai‘i at Mānoa’s School of Travel Industry Management Dean Thomas Bingham and University of Hawai‘i Foundation Senior Director of Development Harriet Cintron, after establishing an endowed scholarship for students pursuing degrees in the field of tourism and hospitality.

The endowment, made in recognition of Gannenmono, the 150th anniversary of Japanese immigration to Hawai‘i this year, will be managed by the University of Hawai‘i Foundation. The check presentation was made at the conclusion of the JTB Goodwill Foundation’s 29th Annual Golf Tournament on September 6 at the Hawaii Prince Golf Club.
