UH Foundation proudly announces the appointment of Mike Hirai and Guy Kawasaki to its Board of Trustees. The Foundation also welcomes longtime trustee Scott Wo as its incoming chair, with Rich Wacker serving as vice chair and Robynne Daly as treasurer.
“We are honored to have Mike and Guy on our board,” said Tim Dolan, UH vice president of advancement and CEO of the University of Hawai‘i Foundation. “Each brings a unique perspective, deep expertise and a strong commitment to advancing educational opportunity in Hawai‘i.”
Mike Hirai is a respected financial leader and currently serves as Institutional Business Development Director with Barrow Hanley Global Investors. With decades of experience in capital markets, venture funding and financial management, Hirai brings a strategic eye for growth and innovation.
Guy Kawasaki is a globally recognized author, entrepreneur and former chief evangelist of Apple. Currently serving as chief evangelist at Canva and host of the Remarkable People podcast, Kawasaki is known for his forward-thinking leadership and passion for education.
Scott Wo, newly named chair of the Foundation board, is an owner and executive of C. S. Wo & Sons, a fourth-generation family business in Hawai‘i. A dedicated supporter of education, Wo returns to the board after serving in different roles from 2004 to 2023. He brings both business acumen and a deep-rooted commitment to community.
