Etiology of Hip Osteoarthritis

Grants will be awarded in support of investigator-initiated research proposals focused on the etiology of hip osteoarthritis. Proposals should encourage the deployment of innovative approaches and frameworks aimed at delineating the etiopathogenesis of this common condition and that include the use of various -omics platforms, national/international databases, AI/machine learning, and novel imaging modalities.

Eligible applicants must have an orthopedic surgeon as principal investigator (PI) or co-investigator and must be licensed to practice and work in an institution in the United States. Those holding a PhD or DVM may serve as PI but must hold a faculty appointment in an orthopedic department in the U.S.

Letters of Intent are due by December 13, 2021.
