The foundation invites proposals focused on evaluating programs for children with the potential to help close the opportunity and resulting achievement gaps associated with race and family income.
The primary goal of the proposal must concern the evaluation of the effectiveness of programs designed to promote positive cognitive and/or achievement outcomes for children between the ages of birth and 18 from underserved groups and/or low-resourced communities. Secondary goals may also focus on one or more of the following: variations in program effects, mechanisms through which effects occur, and cost-benefit analyses of the costs of the program. Projects may span up to three years.
Selected applicants will be invited to submit a stage-two proposal by August 1, 2022.
