Grants will be awarded to an established investigator in the field of gastric cancer research working to enhance the fundamental understanding of gastric cancer pathobiology or approaches to prevent, treat, or cure gastric cancer.
Eligible applicants must be established as independent investigators in the field of gastric biology. MD applicants are considered “established” if seven or more years have elapsed following the completion of clinical training (GI fellowship or its equivalent) at the start date of this award (i.e., January 2023). PhD applicants are considered “established” if seven or more years have elapsed following the awarding of the PhD degree and the start date of this award (i.e., January 2023). Applicants must hold an MD, PhD, and/or equivalent degree (e.g., MB, ChB, MBBS, DO); have a full-time faculty or equivalent position at an institution in North America (United States, Canada, and Mexico); and AGA membership is required at the time of application submission.
