Grants will be awarded in support of scientific inquiry and innovation in areas linked to the foundation’s mission that has the potential to uncover solutions that will have a direct impact on Parkinson's motor and non-motor manifestations or disease progression. The 2022 priority area is weight/strength/resistance training and Parkinson’s.
The foundation is primarily interested in reviewing projects that seek to use clinical research methodologies to understand or explore mechanisms of benefit or expand on data and/or validate positive outcomes from weight/strength/resistance training interventions and therapies. Improvements in well-being can be measured in various ways but should include regulation of motor and non-motor symptoms and/or slowing disease progression.
Letters of Intent are due by July 15, 2022. Selected applicants will be invited to submit a full application, due October 14, 2022 at 5:00 p.m. MT.
