This funding opportunity seeks proposals primed to impact health equity moving forward. We are interested in ideas that address any of these four areas of focus: Future of Evidence; Future of Social Interaction; Future of Food; Future of Work. Additionally, we welcome ideas that might fall outside of these four focus areas, but which offer unique approaches to advancing health equity and our progress toward a Culture of Health.

The Citi Foundation has announced the inaugural Global Innovation Challenge to help scale the impact of worldwide nonprofits developing innovative solutions to improve food security.

Applications are invited for proposals investigating interactions between mitochondrial function and chronic diseases in dogs or cats. Successful applications will focus on connecting mitochondrial energy function at the cellular level with systemic wellness. Wellness should be interpreted broadly, including behavior, energy, appetite, and emotional states.

The Caplan Foundation for Early Childhood supports development projects and promising research to significantly enhance physical and mental health, safety, nutrition, play, familial support, acculturation, social integration, and/or child care from birth through seven years.

Letters of Intent are invited for the areas of Early Childhood Welfare, Early Childhood Education and Play, and Parenting Education.

Applications are invited for the Harvest for Health Breakthrough Crop Challenge. Harvest for Health (H4H) aims to accelerate the development of underutilized crops and increase the diversity of nutritious foods in the marketplace.

The H4H initiative consists of two phases:

Proposals are invited for food waste prevention explicitly targeted at reshaping consumer environments. The foundation intends to make several awards ranging from between $50,000 and $500,000.

The Nasdaq Foundation invites applications for funding to support organizations or programs that enhance financial literacy among women and underrepresented communities or improve access to knowledge and tools among women and underrepresented communities; and to support organizations and programs that equip women and diverse founders with mentoring and resources and improve access to capital for women and diverse founders.

Grants for Research or Professional Education & Training will be awarded in support of projects that aim to improve the quality of life for the adult population, age 65 and older. Projects must be broadly disseminated and have national relevance. Priority areas include:

Applications are invited for research on how COVID-19-related relief and recovery policies and programs related to poverty reduction—such as financial payments to families, income assistance programs, housing assistance or housing security programs, and increased access to social services—impact child obesity, diet quality, food security, and other relevant child and family health outcomes among lower-income and families of color.

Grants will be awarded in support of projects that present an innovative approach that leads to measurable employment outcomes for youth with disabilities; are national in scope, or model projects that have a definite plan for national dissemination and replication; support U.S.
