Foundations Forging the Future: Freeman Foundation Awards $400,000 to UH College of Education & School of Pacific and Asian Studies
"There is a shortage of Chinese teachers at K-12 schools across the U.S. With the Freeman grant, UH will become one of the few universities in the country that can produce K-12 Chinese language teachers. Asian Languages & Literatures (EALL) and College of Education (COE) will work closely to produce high quality Chinese language teachers that will meet the states’ license requirements.

A&B Foundation Commits to Inouye Chair
(Honolulu, Hawaiʻi) — Alexander & Baldwin Foundation presented President David McClain, UH Mānoa Chancellor Virginia Hinshaw, and UH Foundation President and CEO Donna Vuchinich with their final check of $25,000 and fulfilled their $100,000 pledge to the Dan and Maggie Inouye Distinguished Chair in Democratic Ideals.
L&L Founder Eddie Flores Gives $1 Million Scholarship to Shidler College of Business
The gift is the largest endowed scholarship established at the College and the first gift received since the University of Hawaiʻi Centennial Public Kickoff in August.
