Grants will be awarded in support of programs that aim to improve the lives of people impacted by neurodegenerative diseases such as ALS, Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias, Huntington’s disease, multiple sclerosis, or Parkinson’s disease and/or their caregivers. The foundation anticipates funding three to five projects.

Applications are invited for their pilot grant program, Promoting Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in Autism Research, to support research into the incidence, etiology and underlying pathology, diagnostic challenges, clinical presentation, healthcare behavior, health outcomes, and/or disease burden in populations who are underrepresented in ASD research.

Grants will be awarded in support of pre-clinical and translational research in multiple myeloma.

Applications are accepted for research that evaluates the impact of the many changes now occurring in the healthcare system with a particular focus on cancer prevention, control, and treatment. Efforts focusing on improving access to care may also impact inequities that contribute to health disparities.

Nominations are invited for the 2022 ARRS Scholarship, which supports early-career faculty members to study or research the radiologic sciences and explore ways to change the way radiology is practiced.

Grants will be awarded in support of efforts to bring potentially groundbreaking unit dose packaging options to the market — with a focus on child-resistant, user-friendly, non-reclosable designs. Potential innovations may include both solids (tablets, capsules, and powders) and liquids (solutions and suspensions) in unit-dose formats (e.g., blisters, sachets and stick packs).

Applications are invited for the 2022 Research Awards Program, which offers a variety of research awards intended to further the specialty and enable advancements in patient care. An emphasis will be placed on supporting research that benefits the dermatology community at large and has significant potential to advance patient care.

Applications are invited for AS-related research projects. Priority will be given to projects focused on studying or correcting the heterozygous effect of non-UBE3A genes in deletion; the potential results of increasing UBE3A after therapies or for some subtypes of AS; the delivery of therapies and potential for improvement; and symptomatic therapies that impact the daily life of people with Angelman syndrome and their families.

Applications are invited for two key areas: scleroderma-related lung disease research and pediatric scleroderma. A specific, donor-funded grant of $200,000 will be awarded to an established investigator conducting scleroderma-related lung disease research. Pediatric-scleroderma research is earmarked for up to $500,000 in awards and is open to submissions from new and established investigators.

The National Foundation for Cancer Research is inviting nominations for the 2022 Szent-Györgyi Prize for Progress in Cancer Research.
