Droste's $810K Gift Supports UH Hilo Art and English Departments
(Hilo, Hawaiʻi) — Shortly before stepping down on June 30, Chancellor Rose Tseng announced receipt of the largest bequest to UH Hilo in its history. A generous gift of $810,000 was made to the university from the estate of the late Howard and Yoneko Droste, longtime Hilo faculty members who taught at the campus for a combined total of 45 years.
Miho Accepts Position to Support UH West Oʻahu's Donor Development Efforts

(Honolulu, Hawaiʻi) — Ulrike and Toufiq Siddiqi recently donated $60,000 to establish The Ulrike and Toufiq Siddiqi Student Travel Endowment at the UH Mānoa Shidler College of Business to enhance students’ education and understanding of South and Southeast Asia. The endowment will be used for airfare, meals, lodging, conference fees and research.
Monsanto Establishes Scholarship at UH Mānoa College Of Tropical Agriculture and Human Resources
(Honolulu, Hawaiʻi) — With a $100,000 gift, Monsanto Company has established the Monsanto Scholarship Fund in the College of Tropical Agriculture and Human Resources (CTAHR), at the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa. Their goal is to support the education of students interested in the plant sciences, including plant biotechnology and biological engineering.
JABSOM Gets Private Funding to Study Neurodegenerative Disorders

(Honolulu, Hawaiʻi) — Dudley Pratt fondly remembers the challenges he endured while attending MBA classes and working full time. So it came as no surprise when he chose to establish the C. Dudley Pratt, Jr. Endowed Scholarship for $35,000 for graduate students in the Evening MBA program at the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa Shidler College of Business.
